I just wanted to share with you three of my favourite love songs of all time.

1. “The Way You Look Tonight”, Fred Astaire and Rod Stewart. Fred Astaire sings this beautiful song for Ginger Rogers in the movie “Swing Time” (1936). This materpiece, written by Jerome Kern, is just more than a classic. From Frank Sinatra to Rod Stewart, all the crooners view this song as an incredible love song. Rod Stewart claims that nobody has ever sung this song as beautifully as Fred Astaire.

2. “You are the Sunshine of my Life“, Stevie Wonder. Stevie fell in love with Syreeta Wright, who was a secretary at his record company, Tamla Motown. They would eventually marry and he featured this song for her in one of his best albums, “Talikin books”. This song became an instant hit.

3. “I Will Always Love You“, Whitney Houston. This song was actually written by Dolly Parton in 1974. Kevin Costner asked Whitney to sing this song for the movie”The Bodyguard” (1992) because it was already popular in many country clubs in the States. Whitney’s breathtaking rendition made this song one of the most successful songs in history.

…And finally, Rafa’s recommendation: Is This Love, by Whitesnake.
