Fernando Torres is on fire! He has already scored 20 goals in the Premiership and it looks like there’s a few more to come. The Kop loves him so much that the fans have made up a song for him, The Armband Song” (la canción del brazalete). The song was sung for the first time just ten days ago, when Liverpool faced Newcastle. Why “The Armband  Song” you will be wondering?

Well, not long before Torres signed for Liverpool, the fans noticed that the armband that he was wearing as captain of Atlético de Madrid had the words “You’ll never walk alone” written on it.” As you probably know, “you’ll never walk alone” is Liverpool’s anthem. Do you know any other football players -in Spain, England or elsewhere- who have their own song?

“They jurt changed the lyrics around from the animals went in two by two”
Really? and you worked that out all by yourself? my my, you really are a bright spark.

Its better than:
Viva Ronaldo
Viva Ronaldo
Running down the wing
Hear United sing
Viva Ronaldo

Wank song, wank player.

Torres song is great, another great song was Garcia’s before he left

“Luis Garcia,
he drinks sangria,
he came from Barca,
to bring us joy,
he’s 5ft7, he’s football heaven
so do not take, my Luis, away”

im a birmingham fan and that man u twat can shut up that is the best song iv heard last year when liverpool failed to beat us again in the league!!! (iv gotta boast about something we’re shit at anything but playing liverpool in the league). liverpool were bouncing up and down with one of the best songs ever the words are class, its not the same song changed for other players or just repeating his name like the ronaldo song above.

the armband song is class and every football fan thinks it is even though we dont support liverpool

LOL @ THE POST!!!
Every world-class player has his own song. Only a select few of the Man United team don’t have a song. Ronaldo has several songs, Scholes has a few…. U name it!

By the way… Ronaldo could kick Torres’ ass with one toe…

As a supporter of At. Madrid, I knew this story, but the first thing that I have to do is congratulate Fernando Torres on his wonderful season, and we know that above all he’s an Atletico fan.
I’m really glad for Fernando and I agree with him, as he says: “It’s a pity that I have to play abroad but in Spain it was too difficult for me…..”
About the question if there is any other player who has his own song.. yes of course, at the moment I know at least three, all from At. Madrid of course: Kun Aguero, Forlan and Maxi Rodriguez. Anyway the first time that I heard this kind of song, it was a song for Cholo Simeone: ole, ole, ole, Cholo Simeone… etc…. actually, I’ve sung this song a lot of times…. As I told you….. The Calderon is terrific…..
