First impressions could be misleading April 16, 2009

Here’s a clip from “Britain’s got talent”. Here you can see Susan Boyle sing “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables. At first, everyone was poking fun at her because of her looks. She looks more like a fish and chips vendor than a singer but she really did take the audience by storm once she started singing like an angel. Well done, Susan! You may not have Beyoncé’s looks but you are a fantastic singer and deserve all the fame and praise in the world. By the way, as of today, this clip has had over 11 million views on YouTube and over 60,000 comments. Enjoy.

BTW (by the way), I just noticed that the video won’t play as embedded on this page but if you double-click on it another window will open and you will be able to watch it.

I saw the piece of news yesterday, and you’re right Daniel, but unluckily nowadays to succeed in the “music business”, you need more than just an amazing voice; this is the game and these are the rules, if you’re a beautiful girl, you’ll succeed, it doesn’t matter the way you sing, but if you look like a “fish and chips vendor” with an amazing voice, you’ll be famous for a week, but you won’t succeed, it’s not fair, but business is business. Would you like to look like her?, 98 % of people would say: ” I like her voice, but about her appearance, I’d rather not talk about. As I’ve told you before we’re not fair.
